The Adamawa State Police Command has deployed additional police officers to Kopre Village in Hong Local Government Area of the state following an ambush on hunters and members of the civilian Joint Task Force (JTF) on April 26, 2025.
In a statement made available to journalists in the state by the Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, the Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, ordered the deployment of more officers to bolster security in the border community that shares boundary with Borno State.
The move is part of the command’s ongoing collaboration with sister security agencies, particularly the military, to prevent violent crimes, protect lives and property, and recover illegal firearms.
The police commissioner charged the newly deployed police officers to demonstrate professionalism, swift response, and tactical skill in their duties as part of broader strategies aimed at curbing violent crimes in the region.
