Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has called on his old club to make a strong effort to sign Victor Osimhen.
United has struggled with scoring goals this season, managing only 37 goals, and their current forwards have contributed just 14 goals.
Ferdinand believes Osimhen, who is performing well at Galatasaray, could significantly enhance Manchester United’s attacking capabilities.
“We need Osimhen, we need experience, we need someone who knows how to score,” Ferdinand said.
“We need someone who can come and show these young stars of Man United how to do it. If I’m Man United, I’m making it happen.”
The former England international added that Osimhen’s consistent goal-scoring record at the highest level makes him the ideal candidate to lead the line for Ruben Amorim’s side.

“I want someone who knows their way around a football pitch at the elite level and knows how to score at the elite level consistently. Osimhen has done that.
The former Manchester United captain has expressed strong support for Osimhen, emphasizing that his lack of experience in the English Premier League is not a concern.
Osimhen has been in high demand from top European clubs after another impressive season, scoring three goals in recent World Cup qualifiers and bringing his international total to 26 goals in 41 matches.
Additionally, he leads the Süper Lig scoring charts with 20 goals in 23 matches and has 28 goals in 32 appearances for Galatasaray.
