Barcelona has confirmed the extension of Asisat Oshoala’s contract to June 30, 2024.
Oshoala, 27, whose contract was to expire this year, signed a 2-year extension in the office of President Joan Laporta and was witnessed by Director Xavier Puig.
The prolific goalscorer has contributed a lot to the club and is presently the sixth-highest goalscorer in the history of Barcelona.
For the records, the Nigeria international joined the Spanish side in January 2019 and has scored 80 goals in 101 competitive appearances for the club.

Oshoala, who won the African Women’s Footballer of the year for a record of four times, also got accolades as a top scorer in both continental, world, and club football competitions.
The Super Falcon, after the contract extension, expressed her gratitude to the club while also stating that Barcelona is good at developing and monitoring the progress of its players.
She concluded that she will continue to do her job which is to score goals for the club
