More than 1,000 people received free medical treatment on Wednesday during a three-day medical outreach organized by the Monday Onyeme Foundation to mark the 60th birthday of Delta State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA.
The outreach, which took place across Ndokwa/Ukwuani, Ika, and Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituencies, concluded in Ogwashi-Uku, where hundreds of beneficiaries were treated for ailments such as malaria, high blood pressure, typhoid, stomach ulcers, and eye-related conditions.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Governor Onyeme expressed gratitude to God for his life and emphasized that the initiative was his way of giving back to society. He highlighted the importance of helping others as a form of thanksgiving, citing Matthew 25:40, which states that acts of kindness to others are acts of service to God.

Onyeme thanked the attendees for participating and acknowledged the efforts of local government chairmen in mobilizing people for the medical outreach. He also urged continued support for the administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Delta State PDP Deputy Chairman, Chief Moses Iduh, praised Onyeme’s generosity and leadership, urging other political leaders to follow his example. Similarly, Pastor Jude Chukwuwinke, Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government, described Onyeme as a visionary leader who prioritizes the well-being of the people.
The event also featured remarks from former Minister of Agriculture, Chief Chris Agbobu, and other dignitaries, who lauded Onyeme’s contributions and prayed for divine blessings upon him. The celebration concluded with the cutting of the birthday cake, marking a memorable milestone in the deputy governor’s life.
