Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mahmoud Youssouf, today visited the African Union Stabilization Support Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM) base, where he engaged with the peacekeeping forces dedicated to stabilizing the region.
During his visit, Youssouf expressed gratitude for the courage and sacrifices demonstrated by the peacekeepers.
He highlighted their critical role in the ongoing efforts to restore peace and security in Somalia, emphasizing that their actions are integral to the broader agenda of stability across Africa.
