Adamawa State Deputy Governor, Kaletapwa Farauta, has called for unity and tolerance to foster development in the state and the nation at large.
Speaking at the 2025 annual Kwete wrestling festival in Lamurde, Farauta conveyed a message from Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, expressing gratitude for the continued support of the people.
“The message from His Excellency, Ahmadu Fintiri, is that he appreciates us for our support at all times,” she said.
She urged the Bachama people to maximize the rainy season for agricultural productivity, while maintaining peaceful coexistence with their neighbours.
“While we embark on farming, we should ensure we live in peace with those around us because without peace, there can be no development,” she emphasized.
Farauta also encouraged the Bachama community to take advantage of the PAWECA skill acquisition programme, stressing the importance of vocational skills alongside formal education.

In his remarks, the Hama Bachama, Dr. Daniel Shaga, emphasized the role of justice and equity in fostering development and unity.
He commended Gov. Fintiri for his commitment to peace and progress, describing him as a leader dedicated to correcting past wrongs.
The Bachama monarch also reminded the youths, both from the Bachama community and beyond, to use their strengths to advocate for social change, promote peace, and drive unity rather than being influenced into unlawful activities.
