A shocking legal document has surfaced online, revealing that Natasha Akpoti once allegedly sued her husband, Chief Emmanuel Oritsejolomi Uduaghan, before they eventually got married. The letter, dated November 19, 2020, was written by Indemnity Partners, a legal firm acting on behalf of Akpoti, accusing Uduaghan of several offenses, including breach of promise of marriage, poisoning, fetocide, assault, financial loss, and deceit.
The letter detailed how Uduaghan allegedly made persistent romantic advances toward Akpoti in 2018, promising marriage, which she eventually accepted. At the time, Akpoti was already a well-established entrepreneur and politician, managing a ₦7 billion NDDC/SMEDAN project aimed at boosting business growth in Akwa Ibom State.
However, according to the document, Uduaghan allegedly manipulated her into abandoning her business interests and subjected her to physical abuse. It further claimed that she suffered an ectopic pregnancy, leading to the loss of her fallopian tube and ovary, and that she was brutally assaulted by Uduaghan during her recovery. The letter also accused him of attempting to poison her by conspiring with a steward to serve her a “special” vegetable meal intended to induce a miscarriage.

Additionally, the legal document revealed that Uduaghan allegedly cohabited with Akpoti while simultaneously assuring her of marriage, only to later withdraw his commitment. The letter stated that he owed her ₦200 million from a ₦400 million loan she had given him and demanded a total of ₦10 billion in compensation for various losses, including financial opportunities, earnings, and reproductive health damage.
The emergence of this letter has sparked widespread reactions, as the couple eventually moved past their legal battle and got married. The controversy surrounding their past legal dispute has now reignited public interest and debate on the level of control of the husband over Natasha.
It will be recalled that Natasha recently sued the Senate President, Sen. Obot Akpabio for N100B for allegedly defaming her and also made claims on a national television of sexual harassment by the senate president.
