The Nsukwa community in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State has called on the state government to intervene in the brewing crisis threatening the long-standing peace of the community.
The appeal was made by the monarch of Nsukwa Kingdom, Kenneth Ezegbulem, and some of the community’s chiefs.
They lamented that certain individuals and groups, were taking advantage of the king’s peaceful nature to fuel discord and division within the community.
The monarch expressed deep concern over the escalating situation, warning that if urgent steps were not taken, the peace and unity that the community has enjoyed for years would be jeopardized.
According to him, despite his continuous efforts to maintain harmony, some youths and influential individuals have been instigating conflict.
