Tantita Security Services Limited (TSSNL) and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have taken a major step toward bolstering their partnership in the fight against oil theft and the protection of national assets. In a significant move, NSCDC Commandant-General, Abubakar Ahmed Audi, paid a high-profile visit to Tantita’s operational headquarters in Warri, highlighting the growing collaboration between the government and private security firms.

During the visit, Tantita’s Managing Director, Kestin Pondi, showcased the company’s landmark achievements, emphasizing its crucial role in boosting crude oil production and restoring the Niger Delta’s fragile ecosystem. According to Pondi, TSSNL, working hand-in-hand with government security agencies, has made remarkable strides in curbing oil theft and reversing the environmental degradation that once plagued the region.

“As of today, crude oil production has exceeded two million barrels per day. Our rivers, once devastated by pollution, are now thriving again. Fishermen can return to their trade because aquatic life has been restored. Before now, throwing bread into the river yielded nothing, but today, the fish are back, thanks to Tantita’s relentless efforts,” Pondi declared.

He also lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for creating a level playing field that enables private security firms to contribute effectively to national security. “It’s one thing to assign a job, but fairness is key. We commend the government for giving us the platform to operate successfully,” he added.

In response, Commandant-General Audi acknowledged Tantita Security’s critical role in safeguarding oil infrastructure. As part of his operational assessment tour of the Niger Delta, Audi commended the security outfit’s dedication and effectiveness in pipeline protection and overall security measures.

“You are not the only ones securing pipelines, but you have set a high standard, particularly in welfare and operational success. This is why our collaboration remains strong. Our ultimate goal is the same—to ensure the security and stability of Nigeria’s oil sector,” he affirmed.

The strengthened partnership between Tantita Security and the NSCDC signals a new era of reinforced security efforts in the oil-rich Niger Delta. As crude oil production reaches new heights and environmental recovery accelerates, the battle against oil theft continues to gain momentum, promising a safer and more prosperous future for the region.
