Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, of Adamawa state, has called on the Federal Government to ensure the state receives its fair share of national projects, expressing concern over the lack of federally awarded contracts in the state.
Speaking at the Government House in Yola, during a meeting with Alaja Khadijat Omotayo, the Personal Assistant to the President on Constituency Affairs, Governor Fintiri urged the Federal Government to consider Adamawa in its contract allocations.
The Governor pointed out that despite the government awarding contracts worth trillions of naira across various states, Adamawa has been largely overlooked.
He emphasized his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, noting that since assuming office in 2019, his government has completed and commissioned numerous previously abandoned projects.
Governor Fintiri also raised concerns about the poor condition of federal roads in Adamawa, describing them as hazardous for commuters.

He urged the Federal Government to prioritize road rehabilitation to improve safety and boost economic growth in the region.
On her part, Alaja Khadijat Omotayo stated that her five-day visit to Adamawa was part of efforts to assess abandoned Federal Government projects.
She commended Governor Fintiri for his commitment to development and the successful execution of various projects across the state.
