The federal government has announced a 14-month timeline for the completion of the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Road project.
This commitment was made during an inspection tour led by Mohammed Idris, Minister of Information and National Orientation, and David Umahi, Minister of Works, alongside members of the National Assembly.
Speaking during the inspection, Idris reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu’s resolve to ensure the project is completed within the stipulated timeframe, emphasising that no contractor will be allowed to delay the project.
“Mr. President is extremely determined to see to the completion of the construction of the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano road project and has insisted that this work must be completed.
“We will not allow any contractor to hold us to ransom on this project or any other project. We do not have the luxury of waiting another three years for this road to be constructed,” Idris stated.
