The Integrity Group of Delta State has debunked rumours alleging that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is planning to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement signed by the Convener, Dr. Oke Idawene and Secretary, Offiah Felix, respectively, the Integrity Group said the APC was spreading the rumours of Gov. Oborevwori’s out of desperation and describing it as “a laughable lie from the pit of hell.”
The Integrity Group, which supports the ongoing development initiatives in Delta State, emphasised that the claims by the APC are a clear indication of political trouble-shooting and an attempt to destabilise the state by heating up the polity, and trying to sway the gullible.

The group expressed confidence that Delta State and the PDP remain strong, with the people continuing to enjoy the dividends of democracy under the leadership of Gov. Oborevwori.
“APC is selling dummies and trying to create confusion, but Delta State and the PDP are too smart for that. It is very clear that the PDP is the strongest political force in Delta and the people are benefiting from the governance provided by the party.
“We humbly give our voice in support of the position of our great party as earlier released by our able party state Chairman, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, and others. Cease these divisive tactics and instead collaborate with Governor Oborevwori and the PDP for the betterment of the state.
“PDP is Delta State and Delta State is PDP,” the group affirmed, reinforcing its commitment to the progressive agenda that is shaping the state’s future.
