Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State says his administration will provide full medical support to the victims of the Christmas procession that were injured when a motorist rammed into those taking part in the ceremony.

Gov. Yahaya made the promise when he hosted leaders of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the state at the Government House, to mark the Christmas celebration.

Also, he said the state government will ensure justice by holding those responsible for the accident accountable.
The governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to the safety and well-being of all citizens, even as he called for greater vigilance and adherence to safety measures during public events.

He explained that the posture of the state government underscores his administration’s resolve to foster unity and ensure the welfare of all residents of Gombe State, irrespective of their religious or ethnic backgrounds.

Gov. Yahaya extended his felicitations to Christians in the state, urging them to use the season to promote peace, unity, and moral values.

He described Christmas as a time of joy, of reflection, and togetherness, emphasizing the importance of living harmoniously despite differences in faith, tribe, and culture.

“We are people of different colours, tribes, faiths and nations. Let our diversity be a blessing. Let us be our brothers’ keepers, live in peace, and embrace one another so our state and country can progress,” the governor said.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured, their families, and the entire Christian community during this difficult time,” he stated.

He that the state government would provide full medical support to the victims and ensure justice by holding those responsible accountable.

Reiterating his administration’s commitment to the safety and well-being of all citizens, Governor Yahaya called for greater vigilance and adherence to safety measures during public events.

The Governor’s message underscored his resolve to foster unity and ensure the welfare of all residents of Gombe State, irrespective of religious or ethnic backgrounds.
