The Delta state government has resolved the leadership crisis in the Olomoro community by intervening, lifting the suspension of the Odio-Ologbo, and affirming Mr. Lucky Ejoor’s position as the president general of the community.
This resolution was adopted at the office of the Chief of Staff to the Delta State government, Honourable Prince Johnson Erijo, in Asaba, following a peace meeting with HRM Joseph Isike, the Odio-Ologbo of Olomoro community, and the Olomoro community executive, led by Mr. Lucky Ejoor.
It will be recalled that the Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area, Comrade Warri Ovoke Friday, in a letter dated 10th December, 2024, marked ‘Our Ref: C.16/28/Vol.111/59,’ stated in part: ‘I wish to refer to the above subject and inform you of your withdrawal as representative of His Royal Majesty Isaiah Isike Edekere 1, the Odio-logbo of Olomoro Kingdom.’

His withdrawal was necessitated by his actions, which included disrespect for government institutions and causing confusion and crisis in the Olomoro community, among other issues.
In his brief remarks, the chairman of Isoko South Local Government Council commended the state government, via the Chief of Staff’s office, for their swift response.
Ovoke appealed to both parties to uphold peace, noting that it is crucial for advancing progress, stability, and development in the Olomoro community.
