In a bid to address the lingering kingship dispute in Aboh Kingdom, Ndokwa East Local Government Area, the Delta State Government has announced the formation of a three-man committee to mediate peace talks and ensure inclusivity in the kingdom’s administration.
The committee comprises Chief George Ugbomah, Barrister Tony Uti, and Chief Chris Ogboh—reputed leaders known for their credibility and capacity to manage sensitive issues.
The State Government has also called on all parties involved in the kingship dispute to embrace peace and work towards stability under the newly elected traditional ruler, His Royal Highness, Chief Dr. Gregory Nnamedi Oputa III.

Speaking at a meeting with representatives of Aboh Kingdom at Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba, on Friday, November 29th, 2024, Special Adviser to the Delta State Governor on Conflict Resolution/Peace Building, Chief Edwin Uzor, representing the state government, announced the committee and urged the aggrieved factions to collaborate with the new leadership for the progress of the kingdom.
Chief Uzor stressed the importance of unity and called on the traditional ruler to ensure peaceful coexistence among the people.
He urged the king to address complaints raised by the Umu-Iwele Quarter and ensure that all quarters in the kingdom are adequately represented in his administration.
