The state government he added, has further initiated the construction of two eye and dental hospitals, in the northern and southern regions of the state, even as a comprehensive teaching hospital in Maiduguri, is nearing completion.

All these initiatives, Gov. Zulum said reflect his administration’s holistic approach to improving healthcare infrastructure, assuring the public that the projects will be completed on schedule and equipped with modern facilities.

“What matters is not only the establishment of these tertiary health institutions, but also ensuring the availability of the human resources needed to run these health centers effectively,” he said.

To address staffing needs, the governor, also committed to recruiting sufficient personnel for the new institutions, while emphasizing plans to equip the facilities with solar energy to guarantee uninterrupted power supply and ensuring operational efficiency in remote areas.
