Leaders of the Isoko South and North Local Government Areas have called for unity and collaboration to drive the growth and development of the Isoko nation. The chairmen, Comrade Warri Ovoke Friday (Isoko North) and Hon. Prince Godwin Ogorugba (Isoko South), alongside key stakeholders, convened at the Isoko South Council office in Oleh to deliberate on strategies for fostering cohesion within the Isoko community.
The meeting centered on the need for synergy among President Generals (PGs) of communities in both regions. A key resolution was the reinforcement of the rotational leadership system for the Isoko Development Union (IDU) Youth Wing—a move designed to ensure equity and prevent conflicts.
Adonis Ubuwere, President General of the Irri community, highlighted the importance of the rotational tenure system, which was established in 2019. According to Ubuwere, the agreement ensures a three-year leadership rotation between Isoko South and Isoko North.
“This system was designed to promote peace, fairness, and cooperation among the youth,” he stated.

In their joint statement, the leaders reaffirmed their commitment to preserving the legacy of rotational leadership, adding:
“The rotation of the IDU Youth Wing presidency reflects the collective will of all Isoko community leaders. It is a foundation for peace and progress.”
