Rivers Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara will today, Friday November 15 receive an honorary Doctorate Degree from the nation’s premiere university of medical sciences, PAMO University, in Port Harcourt.
The ceremony which is billed to take place at the university’s permanent site at Iriebe in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area is expected to attract dignitaries from the state and beyond.
The university which began operations nearly ten years ago is the brain child of former Governor of Rivers State, Dr. Peter Odili who is also the Pro- chancellor of the university.

The university recently offered automatic employment to all its pioneer graduands in Radiography.
The Rivers State Government is offering scholarship to 150 students of the state origin studying Medicine and Surgery in the university.
Former Governor Nyesom Wike started the gesture with 50 students, later increased it to 100.
Governor Fubara recently increased the number with additional 50 .
