A humanitarian group, De Norsemen Kclub International (DNKI), has provided crucial relief materials to the Ndibokote community in Izzi Local Government Area, Ebonyi State, following a devastating cholera outbreak that claimed over 14 lives.
As part of its annual Humanitarian Service Day, DNKI stepped in to assist the cholera-stricken community by donating essential hygiene items aimed at preventing further outbreaks. The relief materials include cartons of soap, toiletries, detergents, and other sanitary products, which will help improve hygiene and reduce the risk of future infections.
In addition to its efforts in Ndibokote, DNKI also paid the hospital bills of a financially struggling woman who gave birth at the National Obstetrics Fistula Centre in Abakaliki, demonstrating the organization’s ongoing commitment to providing support for the underprivileged.
Speaking on the significance of these gestures, DNKI leader in Ebonyi State, Mr. Okenwa Uka, emphasized that the organization is dedicated to serving humanity. “We are here to ensure that this community, which has suffered so much, gets the help it needs to prevent further cholera outbreaks. It’s our way of giving back to society and making a difference where it matters most,” Uka said.

Uka highlighted DNKI’s longstanding tradition of humanitarian outreach, noting that the organization has previously paid school fees for indigent students, settled hospital bills for those in need, and supported other vulnerable groups. With members across all 36 Nigerian states and over 40 countries worldwide, DNKI continues to uphold its commitment to reaching the less fortunate.
“This year, we chose to focus on the cholera outbreak in Ndibokote. We hope that by providing these relief materials, the community can maintain proper hygiene and avoid another tragedy,” Uka added.
Ndibokote’s youth leader, Mr. Moses Nwebonyi, expressed deep gratitude to DNKI for their timely intervention. “We appreciate the efforts of De Norsemen Kclub for coming to our aid in this difficult time. May God continue to bless their members,” Nwebonyi said.
He also called on other well-meaning organizations, individuals, and the government to support the community, which is still in dire need of basic amenities such as electricity, access roads, potable water, and healthcare facilities.
