Operatives of the Lagos State Police Task Force have arrested no fewer than 12,000 suspected criminals between January 2021 and January 2022.
The figure was released today to The Trumpet, by the Chairman of the Task Force, Jejeloye Shola, a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP).

The Chairman also warned traders to keep off the roads, so as to allow free flow of traffic within the State Metropolis. In his words, “I have said it before and I will say it again, that the clampdown on all recalcitrant Okada riders in Lagos will not stop until they start to behave well and comply with the state Laws guiding Okada Operations.
He emphasised that riding motor cycles on the highway is prohibited in Lagos. He confirmed that about 11,412 of the suspects have been charged to court.
