Youth groups from the eight local government areas of Bayelsa State have applauded Senator Douye Diri for his laudable achievements in virtually every sphere of human and capital development two years after assumption of office as Governor.
The Youth groups, under the aegis of the Bayelsa Eminent Youth Leaders Forum ( BEYLEF), who listed the Governor’s achievements in the areas of infrastructure and youths’ empowerment, noted that the projects thus far executed were beneficial to the people.

Chief Convener of the groups, Ebilade Ekerefe, said the decision to undertook an independent assessment of developmental projects was based on the need to have first-hand information.
The groups noted with satisfaction that amid scarcity of funds, Governor Diri has turned the state into a huge construction site.
The Youth groups also described the last two years of Governor Diri as one that has brought peace and harmony among stakeholders despite their different political affiliations.
