The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has emphasized the need for collaborative efforts between the Nigeria Police Force, the state government, and traditional institutions.
The aim is to enhance security and address emerging challenges.
He stated this yesterday when he paid an official visit to the state following the recent upsurge between the soldiers and the police in Adamawa.
The visit, prompted by an unfortunate incident at the Adamawa State Police Command resulting in the tragic death of Police Inspector Jacob Daniel, involved crucial engagements with key stakeholders.

Stressing the importance of harmonious collaboration with other security agencies, the IGP reassured officers of improved welfare and training opportunities.
Expressing deep condolences to Inspector Jacob’s family, he assured them of justice and acknowledged the support from the Police Community Relations Committee Chairman, Adamawa Concerned Citizens Association, and the Hunters Association.
