Akwa Ibom State Governor Pastor Umo Eno has felicitated the former governor of the state Obong Victor as he celebrates his 85th birthday in the state.
In a statement signed by Governor Umo Eno and made available to newsmen in Uyo on Monday, Eno extolled the leadership style of Obong Victor describing him as a father of modern Akwa Ibom state.
Eno also noted that Obong Attah had laid a template for the development of the state adding that he deserves to be celebrated.
The statement reads in parts: ” On behalf of the government and people of Akwa Ibom state, I celebrate you on the occasion of your 85th birthday.

“Your Excellency, you are rightly called the father of modern Akwa Ibom state because of the enduring foundation for growth and development you painstakingly and strategically laid for the state.”
Eno stated that the former governor Attah had been a source of inspiration, a voice for moderation and a statesman.
“We salute you being a source of inspiration, a voice for moderation and a statesman in the words of Abraham Lincoln, “thinks in the future ”
“Today, because you saw tomorrow and what we, as a people capable of ARISING achieve collectively,” he said.
