Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has reiterated that his administration will not give room for criminals masquerading themselves as herdsmen to overrun the state.
Akeredolu made this known in his office on Tuesday while receiving on a courtesy visit, representatives of Auga Community led by the Alauga of Auga-Akoko, Oba Samuel Agunloye.
However, the Governor vowed to bring to justice the killer herdsmen terrorising some communities.
The governor, frowned at the incessant attacks on farmers and their farmlands, especially in the bordering towns, promising deployment of more security presence in some areas in the state.
He urged the people to be prepared and report suspected criminals to security agencies on time.
The Governor also beseeched traditional rulers in the state to work with the Amotekun Corps and other security agencies for proper security of their domain.

Meanwhile, the Ondo State Governor has also affirmed that the Iboropa-Auga/Ase/Ikaram road is one of the roads slated to be constructed under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP).
In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Richard Olatunde said the Governor affirmed this in his office on Tuesday while receiving on courtesy visit representatives of Auga Community led by the Alauga of Auga-Akoko, Oba Samuel Agunloye.
While speaking on the renovation of Auga Community Grammar School, Auga Akoko, the Governor noted that it is time for communities to come up with various strategies towards developing schools in their areas.
Akeredolu also said old students associations and communities must join hands in developing schools in their localities.
“On renovation of Auga Community Grammar School, Auga Akoko, Governor Akeredolu said the time has come for communities to come up with various strategies towards developing their schools, saying old students associations and the communities must also join hands in developing the schools in their localities.”
