The Isoko United Club of Nigeria (IUCN) on Saturday, January 2022, dole out fifty thousand naira each to twenty indigent students of Isoko nation in tertiary institutions to enable them to purchase academic books for the new academic session.
The club which inaugurated its new executives whilst selecting the beneficiaries from the 19 clans that made up the Isoko ethnic nationality.
The newly inaugurated executives are; Engr. Michael Ikoro Ekpoh – President, Hon. Sunny Akpotu – Vice president, Mr. Lucky Idhigu- Secretary, Mr. Igbudu Felix – Financial Secretary, and Mr. Simon Idudu – Social Secretary.
In his address the newly inaugurated President of Isoko United Club of Nigeria Engr. Michael Ekpoh said that he is ready and prepare to contribute his quota towards the development and progress of the club.
Engr. Ekpoh assured that the new executives will endeavour to source for new financially stable members to join the club within the age bracket of 40 years and below and create a platform for the enthronement of succession plan in the club, noting that they will vigorously pursue it to the end to admit 25 percent of the current membership strength within the first six months of his administration.
“We shall engage and admit new patrons/patroness who are financially stable and willing to support Isoko United Club of Nigeria financially and to strengthen the existing patrons/patroness for the development of the club in particular and Isoko nation in general.

He also affirmed that they will rejuvenate the Isoko United Club of Nigeria multi-purpose house (the clubhouse and its environs with a view to either outsource or manage it internally as a source of income to the club and to promote the usefulness of the property to the Isoko nation.
He promised to endeavour to take Isoko United Club of Nigeria to an enviable height through the profitable programmes where every matured Isoko son and daughter will like to be associated, he stated.
Earlier on the outgoing President of Isoko United Club of Nigeria said: “Despite our plans to meet up with our target, many target projects could not take off as planned due to economic downturn and the negative impacts of convid19 which render all effort fruitless”
He lamented that, “the idea of interlocking the club premises could not be carried out due to paucity of funds and our inability to revisit the master plan of the clubhouse.
“We could not launch a webpage for IUCN but we however developed a WhatsApp group for members to communicate and exchange information and ideas.
Engr Amadhe however stated that despite the numerous challenges his achievement were splendid with notable massive development for four years and touching of lives and making Isoko a better place.
He pointed out that the club was able to 100 pieces of banquet chairs to the Isoko Development Union on the 12th of December, 2021 valued at 1 million, three hundred and thirty thousand naira.
Meanwhile, in remarks on behalf of the students from various tertiary institutions selected from the 19 clans of Isoko nation Miss Orie Uzemefeta from the Ozoro clan thanked the Isoko United Club of Nigeria for the kind gesture and promised that the beneficiaries will use the money given to them judiciously.
