Manchester City can be rest assured that their investment in the summer transfer window was not wasted as Erling Haaland can not stop scoring since he rediscovered his feet.
From a second-half hattrick over the weekend against Crystal Palace in a reverberated comeback win, the striker extended his outstanding class to assert why he is a goal poaching machine at Etihad against Premier League newcomers Nottingham Forest.
The Norwegian, grow in confidence by the day, extricating himself from the effect of the lacklustre performance against Liverpool in the Community Shield where he missed vital chances to put back the Sky Blues in contention for the title.
In the first half, the former Dortmund striker’s hunger for goals was extraordinary which resulted in the 38minute hattrick after his 12-minute opener.
Despite recording his second hattrick in four games, Haaland was determined to score more goals and this was confirmed by his disapproving reaction after being denied a golden opportunity to mark his fourth for the night.

However, Manchester City displayed much brilliance in crushing Forest into Island with an unresponsive 6-0 to demystify the ambiguity of the Premier League to Steve Cooper.
In the night, fellow arrival Julian Alvarez also came in the second half to net a brace and coach Pep Guardiola insists both strikers will add “extra energy” to the team.
Guardiola, in a post-match comment, praised both Haaland and Alvarez whose surge up front was enough to dismantle a highly defensive side with ease.
“They are both incredible finishers and in games like today that is so important,” he said.
“Against teams that will defend deep, having the two guys there, who have that incredible smell to score goals, will help,” Guardiola reiterated.
Haaland now has 9 goals to his name to top the Premier League goal chart with Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic with 5 goals while Harry Kane, Rodrigo and Wilfred Zaha tallied on 4 goals.
Moreover, Guardiola believes the magnificent Haaland, who brings extra energy to the club, wants to prove himself to the world, including Alvarez.
