Watford forward Emmanuel Dennis has been heavily linked with a move away from Vicarage Road with Premier League clubs, West Ham, Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest on his trail.
The Nigeria international, who has earned 7-caps after he made his debut in 2019 under former Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr, scored his first national goal in the 10-0 thrashing of Sao Tome and Principe at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
Dennis last season, before Watford were relegated to the English Championship, scored an impressive goal through a solo effort against West Ham to attract the interest of David Moyes who is particular about the Nigerian forward.
The 24-year-old was an integral part of the squad’s campaign last season where he featured 33 times to net 10 goals in the English topflight division.

Sadly, despite the player’s number of goals for the club, the Hornets were unable to retain the Premier League status as they joined Burnley and Norwich in the Championships.
Superbly, the new status of the club has not deterred the Super Eagle from doing what he does best as he was very instrumental in Joao Pedro’s goal against Sheffield United in the opening match of the season at Vicarage Road.
Reports from England revealed that Hammers’ fans made their way to the stadium to watch Dennis play against Sheffield United to further relish on their club’s prime target.
In a post-match interview, Dennis was asked about his future and how was handling the interest from several clubs.
He said, “I enjoyed the game today, we won the game, so I’m happy.
I’m still a player of the team so I just do my job and we’ll see what happens,” reticent Dennis added.
Meanwhile, Newcastle are interested in the forward alongside Chelsea’s Timo Werner and Armando Broja.
A report by CSB Sports Golazo journalist, Ben Jacobs revealed that Newcastle United are among the several EPL clubs that are interested in signing the player.
Also Premier League new boys Nottingham Forests are seeking Dennis’ signature and Steve Cooper has allegedly doubled his interest in the player after the Championship fixture at Vicarage Road where he was in the spotlight.
Watford have valued Dennis at €20million which probably may be a stumbling block for some of the clubs in furthering their interests but reports had it that West Ham have tabled €18million plus €2million on add-ons.
