Niger Tornadoes continued the battle for Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) survival as they humiliated Kwara United with unreplied four goals to move up from the relegation zone.
Tornadoes with close points difference with about eight other NPFL clubs including Nassarawa United, secured maximum points on matchday 35 to reverberate their surge towards the NPFL lifeline.
According to the match report, the visiting Kwara United on 5th, a point above Enyimba that have a game in hand on 6th, conceded an own-goal at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Zaria to hand a 2-minute lead to the relegation battling Tornadoes.
Significant of a tornado, the home team swept the visiting side from the sound of the referee’s whistle to the end of full-time to compound the woes caused by the own-goal scored by Issa Gata, who mistakenly converted a corner kick into his net through a poor clearance.

However, in furtherance of the battle for survival and continental qualification by Niger Tornadoes and Kwara United respectively, the Ikon Allah Boys travel to play fellow relegation struggling side MFM that deep-rooted in NPFL red zone while Harmony Boys host Nassarawa United on matchday 36 fixtures.
