It appears the time of Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski is up in Germany as the Pole has refused to back down from a move to Barcelona despite the appeal by the German topflight club to rescind his decision.
Lewandowski, who has one year left in his contract in Munich and is determined to complete a move to the Camp Nou, wants to explore new challenges under Blaugrana head coach Xavi Hernandez.
According to reports from Germany, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are on his trail believing they can make a higher offer for a player Bayern Munich valued from €50m upwards. In another report from Spain, Barcelona are willing to start the negotiations from €30m for the 33 years old but need to deal with the unwillingness of Bavarians, who are in the position to consent to the player’s exit.
The German league giants believe Lewandowski can be convinced to jettison the switch to Spain with the club sporting director, Hasan Salihamidzic, last week Wednesday, appealing to him to rescind his decision during a meeting in Mallorca, a Spanish media reported.

Also in the said report, Lewandowski spelt it out to Salihamidzic in the presence of his representative, Pini Zahavi, that he is determined to wear the Barcelona jersey. Meanwhile, Bayern have almost completed the deal to bring in Liverpool Sadio Mane to the club, who is due for medical on Wednesday in Germany.
The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) winner’s inclusion into the Bavarians squad will definitely complement the attack with Lewandowski as the helmsman. Speculatively, it is believed that the plans of the club for the 2022-2023 season have been threatened by the tension created by Lewandowski’s imminent exit.
