Four bandits terrorizing residents of Saminaka in Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State have been killed by the security operatives.
This was disclosed by the Public Relations Officer of the Kaduna State Police Command, DSP Mohammed Jalige, adding that the bandits were intercepted by operatives of the Special Tactical Squad Force Headquarters, Abuja (STS) in conjunction with Operation Yaki Kaduna
Jalige explained that items recovered from the bandits include AK47 and AK49 rifles loaded with live ammunition, one empty magazine, one hundred and thirty-four rounds of different calibers of live ammunition, and an operational vehicle.
He said that the bandits met their waterloo on their way to deliver some dangerous weapons to their cohorts when they ran into the operatives who were on trail of suspected bandits along Saminaka–Jos expressway and on sensing danger engaged the officers in a gun battle.
