Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has opened up about his health struggles, revealing that he is currently experiencing difficulty walking and occasional swelling in parts of his body. The actor made the disclosure during an emotional visit to ailing Ghanaian actor Emmanuel Armah in Accra, Ghana.

Pete Edochie Opens Up About Health Struggles

Speaking during the visit, Edochie revealed that he is also dealing with personal health challenges while offering encouragement to his Ghanaian colleague.

In a video from the visit circulating online, the veteran actor said walking had become difficult for him and that he had experienced swelling in parts of his body.

“Walking is a problem for me now, but I still have hope that I will recover myself,” Edochie said.

The actor also indicated that the swelling can sometimes reduce, adding that his hand was swollen during the visit.

Edochie Remains Hopeful Despite Health Challenges

Despite discussing his difficulties, Edochie maintained a hopeful outlook and said he continued to trust in God for recovery.

He also spoke about his desire not to become a burden to those around him and reflected on his mortality, saying he had been praying for God to determine the time of his death.

His comments have drawn attention from fans and colleagues concerned about the veteran actor’s wellbeing.

Pete Edochie Visits Ailing Emmanuel Armah in Ghana

Edochie was in Accra to visit Ghanaian actor Emmanuel Armah, who has reportedly been battling health challenges for almost 11 years.

During the emotional meeting, Edochie offered prayers, encouragement and financial assistance to Armah and his family.

The Nollywood veteran also expressed confidence that Armah would eventually recover.

“It is my belief that you will recover one day,” Edochie told his Ghanaian colleague.

Emmanuel Armah’s Health Challenges

According to reports from Ghana, Armah’s wife, Stella Amina Armah, said her husband’s health problems began while he was working in the United States.

She reportedly said he had high blood pressure without initially knowing it before later developing elevated cholesterol levels.

Armah is currently undergoing physiotherapy and receiving daily massages as part of his rehabilitation, according to his wife.

Pete Edochie Offers Support to Ghanaian Actor

The condition of his longtime colleague reportedly left Edochie emotional during the visit.

While offering support to Armah and his family, Edochie also shared his own experience, highlighting the personal health challenges he is currently facing.
