Nigeria’s Vollyball Head Coach/Technical Director Ryan Masajedi has unveiled his 14-man squad for the 2026 African Men’s Volleyball Nations Championship in Tunis, including two new faces in the team.
The continental championship is scheduled for September 13 – 27 and will also provide an important qualification pathway towards the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Masajedi has selected a balanced squad comprising two setters, two opposite hitters, four outside hitters, four middle blockers and two liberos as Nigeria prepares for the continental challenge.
Bruno Ibeh and Adeniyi Favour will handle the setter positions, while Armstrong Udoka and Okonkwo Ebuka have been selected as the team’s opposite hitters.

Captain Abdulquadri Jaiyeola leads the outside hitters, alongside Ogunshina Obayemi, Emmanuel Udah and Faruk Lucky.
The middle-blocking options are Anele Timothy, Pascal Ozokoye, Kaseem Mutiu and Army Ferdinand.
Abednego Hassan and Tiamiyu Ismail complete the squad as the two liberos.
Masajedi will be supported by Taiwo Oladipupo, who has been appointed first assistant coach, while Jonah Adamu will serve as second assistant.
With the championship doubling as an Olympic qualification pathway, Nigeria will be hoping the squad can deliver a strong performance and secure valuable points on the road to Los Angeles 2028.
