Nigeria’s Eniola Bolaji has won gold in the Women’s SL3 category at the 2026 Peru Para Badminton International after defeating Brazil’s Kauana Beckenkamp 2-0 (21-12, 21-12) in Sunday’s final.
The Paralympic bronze medallist dominated the tournament, winning all four of her matches without dropping a game.
Bolaji opened with a 21-7, 21-6 victory over Brazil’s Maria Da Silva Abinaecia before beating Croatia’s Gabriela Montero 21-2, 21-1 in the second round.
She then defeated Mexico’s Maria Rojas Peres 21-6, 21-9 in the semi-final before completing her impressive run with victory over Beckenkamp.

President of the Badminton Federation of Nigeria, Francis Orbih, praised Bolaji for her strong comeback after her performance at the British and Irish International in June.
Orbih described the victory as evidence of Bolaji’s consistency, determination and ability to overcome challenges.
He added that the Peru International forms part of her preparations for the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympic Games.
Orbih also expressed appreciation to GIG Logistics, Yonex and the National Sports Commission for their support towards Bolaji’s development and success.
