Ecobank Nigeria has unveiled a new business podcast designed to help African entrepreneurs grow stronger, smarter and more successful businesses by learning directly from some of the continent’s biggest founders and industry trailblazers.

The podcast, titled Scaling Up!!!, is part of the bank’s drive to support entrepreneurs beyond financing by providing practical business knowledge, mentorship and real-life success stories.

According to Ecobank, the podcast will feature candid conversations with accomplished entrepreneurs, innovators and creatives, revealing the realities of building successful businesses, overcoming setbacks and identifying new growth opportunities across Africa.

 

Speaking on the initiative, Ecobank Nigeria’s Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Austen Osokpor, said the project reinforces the bank’s commitment to empowering entrepreneurs with more than just financial support.

 

“Scaling Up!!! reflects Ecobank’s belief that empowering entrepreneurs goes beyond providing financial solutions. Through authentic storytelling and insightful conversations, we are creating a platform where business owners can learn directly from people who have successfully navigated the realities of building sustainable enterprises,” he said.

Osokpor added that the platform further strengthens Ecobank’s position as a champion of entrepreneurship, innovation and economic growth across the continent.

 

The bank’s Head of SMEs, Partnerships and Collaborations, Omoboye Odu, said entrepreneurs often learn best from people who have faced and overcome similar business challenges.

 

She explained that the podcast offers practical lessons to help founders make smarter decisions, solve business problems and unlock new opportunities.

 

“Scaling Up!!! provides practical insights, inspiration and valuable lessons that will help founders make better business decisions, overcome challenges and grow sustainable businesses,” she said.

 

Producer of the series, Jemimah Ugiagbe, said the goal was to move beyond polished success stories by showcasing the struggles, resilience and difficult decisions behind thriving businesses.

 

“Our aim is to deliver honest conversations that expose the real journey of entrepreneurship, not just the success stories,” she said.

 

The first season features several respected African entrepreneurs and creatives, including filmmaker Kunle Afolayan, music producer ID Cabasa, beauty entrepreneur Adeola Adeyemi, luxury fashion designer Ejiro Amos Tafiri, commercial photographer Emmanuel Oyeleke, interior designer Adewunmi Adegbola, and creative entrepreneur Richard Vedelago.

 

The Scaling Up!!! podcast is now streaming on Ecobank Nigeria’s official YouTube channel and other leading digital platforms.

 

Ecobank said the initiative aligns with its broader vision of promoting entrepreneurship, strengthening SMEs, driving innovation and supporting sustainable economic growth across Africa.
