The Cross River State chapter of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has said it will mobilize over 2.5 million eligible voters in the state to participate in the 2027 general election.

The state Chairman of IPAC, Effiom Okon gave the assurance on Thursday, while thanking Governor Bassey Otu for donating a brand new bus to the chapter.

“As a demonstration of our commitment to deepening democracy, the political parties under the umbrella of IPAC pledge to work tirelessly towards increasing citizens’ participation in the electoral process.

“We shall mobilize across the eighteen Local Government Areas of the State with the goal of achieving a minimum of 2.5 million voters in Cross River State for the 2027 general elections through sustained voter education, peaceful political participation, and support for lawful democratic processes”, Okon pledged.

He said that the governor’s gesture is a clear demonstration of his unwavering commitment to strengthening democratic institutions and promoting inclusive governance in Cross River State.

“It further affirms that you are truly a leader who keeps his promises and values the contributions of all registered political parties, irrespective of political affiliation.

“The donation of this bus will greatly enhance the operational capacity of IPAC, enabling the council to effectively coordinate its activities, deepen political engagement, and continue fostering peace, unity, and democratic development across the state,” the IPAC boss further said.

He commended Governor Otu for operating an all-inclusive government that recognizes the importance of engaging every critical stakeholder in the democratic process, adding that his leadership continues to inspire confidence and reinforces the belief that every political party has a role to play in the growth and development of the State.

“Once again, we thank Governor Otu, for this remarkable support and pray that God grants him greater wisdom, strength, and good health as he continues to lead Cross River State to greater heights,” he concluded.
