Polish Iga Swiatek has withdrawn from competing in Madrid Open after straining her arm in the Miami Open.
The world number one on Saturday, won the Stuttgart Open which marks her fourth consecutive title this season.
According to the tennis star who confirmed she will feature in the Italian Open and French Open that she is most likely to win, it is high time she takes a little rest to look after her arm.
Swiatek in her tweet revealed that after the Miami Open, she had not had ample time to attend to her arm properly.
She tweeted, “After an intense few weeks and winning four titles in a row, it’s time to take care of my arm that has been fatigued since the Miami Open and I haven’t had the chance to handle it properly.

“I need a break from playing so intensively in order to treat my arm well,” she added.
The winner of the Stuttgart Open refuting questions from journalists’ in Madrid on Thursday asserted she is not into a gimmick.
She said, “It’s not like we have some drama because everything is OK.
“We just thought that this is the best decision for me to recover properly because I didn’t really have time to recover after all these tournaments.
“Right now I feel like this is the best decision for us to get ready for Rome and have the peak of my form in Roland Garros,” Swiatek added.
Poland’s Iga Swiatek, who hopes to win her second Grand Slam in the French Open after she won her first in Roland Garros in 2020, was crowned world number one last month following Ashley Bartley’s retirement in March.
