Senate President Godswill Akpabio has expressed strong confidence in the administration of President Bola Tinubu, stating that the country is already beginning to experience the effects of the government’s ongoing reforms.
Akpabio made the remarks while speaking during an event where he commended the president’s policies and leadership direction, noting that the reforms introduced by the administration were part of the promises made before coming into office.
According to him, the government’s efforts would leave a lasting impact on the nation and change the course of Nigeria’s future.
“We’re proud of your reforms, Mr. President. You promised that under your tenure, when you are through with Nigeria, Nigeria will not be the same again. We are seeing it,” Akpabio said.

The Senate president’s comments come, amid continued national discussions over the government’s economic policies, including measures aimed at restructuring key sectors and improving governance.
While supporters of the administration have described the reforms as necessary steps toward long-term economic growth and stability, some Nigerians and opposition voices have continued to express concerns over rising living costs and the immediate challenges affecting citizens.
Akpabio’s statement has further fueled debate about the performance of the Tinubu administration, with many Nigerians watching closely to see how the reforms translate into improved living conditions and broader national development.
