ADC Chieftain Blasts Bwala Over Prediction Of Atiku Coming 4th In 2027 Presidential Election

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze has descended heavily on Mr. Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Policy Communication, for predicting that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), would finish a distant fourth position in the 2027 presidential election.
In a statement made available to the media on Wednesday, Eze described Bwala’s remarks as”reckless hallucinations”  calling the presidential aide an opportunistic politician.
“The same Daniel Bwala, who today shamelessly attacks Atiku Abubakar is the very individual who, during the 2023 presidential campaign, practically canonized the former vice president.
“As one of Atiku’s frontline media aides and spokespersons, Bwala flooded television stations, radio platforms, newspapers, and social media spaces with endless praises of Atiku’s competence, experience, leadership capacity, economic knowledge, and preparedness to govern Nigeria,” he said.
Eze said a at that time, Bwala portrayed Atiku as the most qualified presidential candidate in the race. and  defended him passionately and aggressively against critics.
He said Nigerians listened as Bwala repeatedly argued that Atiku represented the best option to rescue the nation from economic collapse, insecurity, unemployment, and national disunity.
The ADC chief wondered what might have changed about Atiku that warranted such dismal rating of Atiku by Bwala.
“What exactly has changed? Has Atiku suddenly become less competent? Has he become less experienced? Has he become less patriotic?
“Has he lost the qualities that Daniel Bwala once advertised to Nigerians?,” he questioned.
According to Eze, while nothing has changed about Atiku, it was Bwala’s “feeding arrangement” that has changed.
“The moment a plate of political food was placed before him by the Tinubu administration, every principle, conviction, and loyalty he claimed to possess evaporated into thin air.
“He abandoned the political ideals he once preached and crossed over to the very camp he spent months criticizing.
“This is why Nigerians now see him as the perfect example of a fair-weather politician whose political philosophy is dictated not by principles but by personal convenience and stomach infrastructure”, Eze taunted the political aide.
According to the ADC chieftain, history is replete with individuals who traded conviction for comfort, integrity for appointments, and loyalty for patronage, stressing that Daniel Bwala has unfortunately chosen to join that “unenviable league”
He contended that Bwala’s latest attack on Atiku exposes not political insight but political desperation,  an attempt to please his current employers by insulting a man whose political platform he once promoted with almost religious zeal.
Eze said it is even more disturbing that a presidential spokesman, whose primary responsibility is to communicate government policies and explain the administration’s performance to Nigerians, has now reduced himself to the role of a political fortune teller and election prophet.
“Rather than spending his days predicting the outcome of an election that is still months away, Nigerians expect Daniel Bwala to explain why hunger has become a permanent resident in many Nigerian homes, why inflation continues to punish ordinary citizens;why businesses are collapsing daily, why insecurity remains a major concern across several parts of the country and  why millions of young Nigerians are losing hope in the future,” Eze demanded.

Eze maintained that as someone who once occupied the front row in Atiku’s political family, Bwala knows better than most people the political strength, national reach, and enduring appeal of the former Vice President.
He stated that Bwala’s attempt to rewrite history simply because he now serves another administration insults the intelligence of Nigerians who witnessed his vigorous defence of Atiku only a few years ago.
“I therefore urge Nigerians to treat Bwala’s comments with the contempt they deserve. They represent neither objective analysis nor political reality.
“They are merely the predictable utterances of a political convert seeking validation from his new political congregation”, he said
According to him, the 2027 election will not be decided by propaganda merchants or political jobbers, but by Nigerians based on the realities they experience daily and their assessment of those seeking to lead them.
