The Borno State government has reaffirmed its commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure across the state, as part of efforts to improve access to quality healthcare services and enhance service delivery.

This assurance was given by the Senior Special Assistant on Special Projects to Governor Babagana Zulum, El-lawan Mustapha, during an inspection tour of key healthcare facilities in the northern part of the state.
The inspection team conducted an on-site assessments of ongoing projects and healthcare facilities at the General Hospital Gubio and facilities in Magumeri Local government Council.

Speaking during the visit, Mustapha commended the engineers overseeing the projects for their dedication and professionalism, describing their efforts as critical to the success of the state’s healthcare sector.
“I am highly impressed with the level of commitment shown by the engineers,” he said.
“Their dedication to serving the people of Borno State remains the backbone of our healthcare system.
“We will continue to work closely with the state government to provide the necessary resources to ensure these hospitals
remain efficient and patient-friendly.”
He also urged healthcare workers and project personnel to maintain high standards of professionalism and excellence in the discharge of their duties.
Mustapha further reiterated the administration’s determination to sustain investments in critical healthcare infrastructure, noting that such interventions are essential to improving the wellbeing of residents and strengthening the healthcare system across Borno state.
