The Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil, Kano State, has commenced the sale of application forms for admission into its 13th Regular Course degree programme, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for admission into various academic disciplines offered by the institution.

According to the admission notice on Wednesday, the online application portal opened on June 3, 2026, and will remain accessible for six weeks, closing on July 15, 2026.
The academy stated that admission is open to both male and female Nigerians of good character who meet the stipulated academic, physical, and medical requirements.
Prospective applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth and must have scored a minimum of 180 marks in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Candidates are also required to have selected the Nigeria Police Academy as their first-choice institution in their JAMB registration.
Applicants must possess at least six credits in their Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
The academy noted that SSCE results obtained before 2023 will not be accepted.
Candidates must be between 16 and 21 years old as of October 31, 2026.
They must also be medically, physically, and psychologically fit, with male applicants required to have a minimum height of 1.67 metres and female applicants at least 1.64 metres tall.
Male candidates must also have a chest measurement of not less than 86 centimetres (34 inches) when expanded.
The academy further stated that applicants must not be married or pregnant at the time of admission and must possess valid email addresses and telephone numbers.
Interested candidates are required to visit the academy’s admission portal and generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code for payment.
The application fee is fixed at N6,000, which includes the cost of the Post-UTME examination.
After payment through any commercial bank in Nigeria, candidates will be able to complete and submit their online application forms.
Applicants are expected to print their completed forms and present them during the aptitude test.
The admission exercise will involve several stages, beginning with a Computer-Based Test (CBT) aptitude examination. The date and venues for the test will be communicated to applicants through the academy.
Candidates who meet the required CBT score will proceed to an automated physical screening exercise at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil.
Applicants will be required to present original copies of relevant documents, including birth certificates or declarations of age, certificates of origin, evidence of medical fitness from government-recognised hospitals, letters of good character from community leaders, and guarantor forms signed by qualified public servants or senior security personnel.

Successful candidates from the physical screening stage will undergo automated medical screening and later participate in an automated interview and selection exercise.
The academy said notifications for each stage of the admission process will be sent through applicants’ registered email addresses and SMS alerts.
The Nigeria Police Academy offers degree programmes across several faculties, including humanities, education, science, and social and management sciences.
Available disciplines include English, history and international studies, linguistics, education, forensic science, biochemistry, computer science, accounting, economics, psychology, sociology, criminology, political science, management studies, and security studies.
However, the institution announced that it will not admit candidates into its Law programme for the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 academic sessions.
The academy explained that successful applicants will undergo a combined academic and police training programme lasting a minimum of five years.
Upon completion, graduates will be awarded bachelor’s degrees in their respective disciplines and commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as Assistant Superintendents of Police II (ASP II).
The institution advised applicants to regularly visit its admission portal for updates and cautioned that any changes regarding the admission exercise would be communicated only through official academy channels.
