Minister of interior, Alhaji Rauf Aregbesola, has charged all para-military agencies under the ministry to ensure operational synergy with sister security agencies, for effective service delivery in the current fight against insecurity.
The Minister spoke during a meeting with the National Security and Civil Defense Corps operatives, Nigerian Immigration Services and the Nigerian Correctional Services Center, as well as Directors from the Ministry of Interior, during the weekend.
The meeting was aimed at assessing the level of performance and achievement recorded by the Ministry in the third and fourth quarter of the year 2021. It was hosted by the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps headquarters.
The Trumpet gathered that the meeting was to reposition all the paramilitary agencies to join other military commissions to curtail the ongoing security challenges in the country.
It was further gathered that the presidency has directed all the Ministers in charge of all the security agencies to be holding such meetings with the top management team for improved performance.

Aregbesola, at the meeting, lauded the NSCDC and other agencies for major breakthroughs recorded so far in their various formations across the country.
He commended the various transformative programmes initiated so far by the sister agencies within the last one year, which has boosted the morale of personnel and changed the narratives for all the services.
In addition, he commended the visible improvement in the mode of dressing of officers and men of all the agencies.
Basically, he commended the Civil Defense for the recent introduction of new uniform for their personnel and the establishment of a female special squad, whose priority is to protect school children from the clutches of kidnappers in all parts of the country.
In his remark, Dr. Shuaib Belgore, Permanent Secretary of the ministry emphasised that the take home of the meeting for all the agencies, is to put on a new toga of quality service and redouble efforts towards achieving the Ministry-set goals.
