The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has congratulated several Nigerian football stars following their impressive title-winning campaigns with clubs across Europe during the 2025/2026 season.
In a statement issued by the NFF Communications Department on Sunday, President of the federation, Ibrahim Gusau, praised the players for their outstanding performances, describing their achievements as proof of their quality, consistency and professionalism.
According to Gusau, the success of Nigerian players in Europe is a positive sign for the country’s national teams ahead of future international competitions.
“The NFF is very happy with the achievements of these players in their various clubs and leagues.
“It is a thing of joy to see our players winning trophies here and there, as it presents assurance that they are in good form to deliver whenever any international match or tournament comes up,” he said.
“We congratulate them warmly and wish them greater heights, while charging them not to rest on their oars but rather pursue even greater glory in their different stations.”
Among the players celebrated are Victor Osimhen, who played a crucial role in helping Galatasaray clinch the Turkish Super Lig title with a game to spare.
The Super Eagles striker finished the season as one of the club’s most influential players and top scorers.
Defender Zaidu Sanusi also ended the season with silverware after FC Porto won the Taça de Portugal.
His national teammate Terem Moffi equally shared in the triumph after joining the Portuguese giants on loan from OG Nice during the January transfer window.
Midfielder Raphael Onyedika helped Club Brugge secure the Belgian Pro League title, while forward Kelechi Iheanacho enjoyed a memorable debut season in Scotland by helping Celtic FC complete a domestic League and Cup double.
Defender Igoh Ogbu also celebrated league success after Slavia Prague won the Czech First League title.
Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho joined the list of champions after helping Omonia Nicosia win the Cypriot First Division title.
Meanwhile, defender Semi Ajayi was part of the Hull City squad that secured promotion to the English Premier League after winning the Championship play-off final.

On the women’s side, Super Falcons midfielder Christy Ucheibe enjoyed a dominant season in Portugal with SL Benfica, winning the Taça de Portugal Feminina, Taça de Liga Feminina and the Super Taça de Portugal Feminina.
Defender Shukurat Oladipo also received recognition after helping AS Roma win the Serie A Femminile title.
The former FC Robo Queens star was additionally named the league’s best defender following an outstanding campaign.
Forward Rinsola Babajide, who joined AS Roma from UD Tenerife, contributed two goals in nine league appearances as the Italian side secured the women’s league title.
The NFF said the performances of the players continue to project Nigerian football positively on the global stage and inspire upcoming talents across the country.
