The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 3 Headquarters, Yola, AIG Akinwale Kunle Adeniran, has reiterated the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to strengthening collaboration with stakeholders in the hospitality sector to improve security across Adamawa State.

Adeniran made the pledge on Thursday while receiving members of the Nigerian Hotel Association during a courtesy and strategic security engagement visit to the Zone 3 Police Headquarters in Yola.
The delegation was led by the Chairman of the Association, Samuel Adamu Duchi, alongside members of the executive council and other key stakeholders in the hospitality industry.

Speaking during the visit, Duchi commended the Nigeria Police Force for its professionalism, operational resilience, and sustained crime prevention efforts aimed at maintaining peace and security in Adamawa State and across the country.
He also praised the Force for its continued commitment to protecting lives and property, stressing the importance of intelligence sharing and inter-agency collaboration in strengthening security within hotels and other public places.
The association chairman raised concerns over hospitality security management, customer protection procedures, and surveillance measures in hotel facilities.
According to him, stronger collaboration between hotel operators and security agencies is necessary to tackle criminal activities, cyber-related fraud, human trafficking, and other emerging security threats.
In his response, AIG Adeniran welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed the Police Force’s resolve to promote proactive policing, intelligence-led operations, and community-based security initiatives to ensure a safe environment for residents, visitors, and investors.
He assured the association of the police’s readiness to sustain operational cooperation with hotel owners and managers through effective information sharing, rapid response strategies, and enhanced crime detection mechanisms.
The AIG further advised hotel operators to strengthen internal security systems by adopting strict guest profiling procedures, identity verification measures, surveillance monitoring, and proper documentation of guests, especially suspicious or unidentified individuals.
He emphasized the need for vigilance, timely intelligence reporting, and strict compliance with standard security protocols capable of preventing criminal infiltration into hospitality establishments.
Adeniran noted that effective security management requires collective responsibility, strategic collaboration, mutual trust, and sustained engagement among stakeholders.
