Afrobeat singer Seun has vowed lifelong feud with Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, declaring that there is no chance of reconciliation following comments he believes disrespected his late father, Fela Kuti.
Speaking during a recent podcast interview with Selah Meditate, Seun stated bluntly that the feud is “on for life,” stressing that certain lines should never be crossed, especially when it involves his father’s legacy.
According to him, any form of disrespect toward Fela is unforgivable, making peace unlikely unless a sincere apology is offered.
The clash dates back to January 2026, when Seun reacted strongly to remarks from some fans of Wizkid who claimed the singer had surpassed Fela’s achievements.

His response, delivered through a series of Instagram Live sessions, triggered heated exchanges online, with both fan bases trading insults.
Tensions escalated further when Wizkid, who had initially remained silent, posted a message suggesting he was “bigger” than Fela. The statement ignited widespread debate among Nigerians, reopening long-standing comparisons between the global influence of Wizkid and the cultural legacy of Fela, widely regarded as the pioneer of Afrobeat.
Despite the online drama eventually cooling off, Seun’s latest remarks confirm that the issue remains unresolved. He maintains that respect for Fela’s legacy is non-negotiable and insists the grudge will continue unless addressed directly.
