Tension gripped parts of Gombe State on Thursday, after angry youths reportedly set fire to the residence of Nafi’u Bala, sparking concerns over rising political unrest in the area.
Eyewitnesses said the incident occurred in the early hours of the day when a group of aggrieved youths stormed the property, setting sections of the building on fire.
The motive behind the attack was not immediately clear, but sources linked it to growing dissatisfaction among some local groups over recent political developments.
Residents described scenes of panic as flames engulfed parts of the residence, with neighbours scrambling to contain the fire before it spread to adjoining buildings.

No casualties were immediately confirmed at the time of filing this report, although the extent of damage to the property remains unclear.
