Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has charged newly elected executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to uphold discipline, unity, and accountability, warning against anti-party activities.

The governor gave the directive while receiving the party’s new state executive and the 21 local government chairmen during a thank-you visit at the Government House in Yola.

Gov..Fintiri congratulated the executives, who emerged through a consensus process, describing their emergence as a reflection of unity and internal cohesion within the party.

He commended the leadership for maintaining harmony and urged them to build on the progress achieved.

Also, the governor called on the party leadership to align with the policies of the Tinubu administration, noting that ongoing economic and governance reforms are beginning to yield positive outcomes for Nigerians.

According to him, strengthening party structures at the grassroots level remains essential for sustaining these gains nationwide.

The governor emphasized the importance of transparency, inclusiveness, and accountability in leadership, stressing that party officials must represent the interests of members while delivering tangible democratic dividends to citizens.

Reaffirming his support, Gov. Fintiri encouraged the executives to remain focused on ensuring future electoral success for the APC and positioning the party as a platform for people-oriented governance.

He further warned against internal divisions, urging members to work collectively in the interest of stability and long-term growth, adding that unity within political parties is vital for Nigeria’s democratic consolidation.

Earlier, the APC state Chairman, Hamza Madagali, said the visit was to appreciate the governor’s support during the party congress and related activities, which he described as key to the success of the exercise.

Madagali noted that the governor’s backing has strengthened the party’s structure in Adamawa State and reaffirmed the commitment of the new executive council to promote development, justice, and fairness.

Similarly, the state Secretary, Mustapha Ribadu, commended Gov. Fintiri’s leadership and pledged that the new executives would uphold party ideals while working with stakeholders to advance development in the state.
