Years of hardship and deprivation have come to an end for the family of Sunday Ekpo in Ifa Ikot Okpon community, Uyo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, following the birth of their triplets and the intervention of Governor Umo Eno.
In a remarkable act of compassion, the governor provided the family with a brand-new three-bedroom bungalow and a cash grant to support a small business, marking a fresh start for the household.
The official presentation was conducted on the governor’s behalf by the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Emem Ibanga, who handed over the house documents alongside the financial support during a brief ceremony.
Governor Eno congratulated the family on the birth of their children, describing the development as a blessing and reaffirming his administration’s commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable citizens through the ARISE Compassionate Homes Initiative (ACHI).
He prayed for the well-being and future success of the newborns.
Providing insight into the project, the Governor’s Special Assistant on Humanitarian Services, NsikanAbasi Umoekpo, noted that the bungalow is equipped with solar power, a reliable water supply, and other modern amenities to ensure comfortable living.

Also speaking at the event, the Presiding Pastor of All Nations Christian Ministry International, Udomfuk Ndaeyo, praised the governor’s generosity, calling it a clear demonstration of compassionate leadership.
Speaking on behalf of his family, Mr. Ekpo expressed deep appreciation to the governor, describing him as a man who keeps his promises.
He and his wife offered prayers for continued blessings upon the governor, his family, and the state government.
The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including the Special Assistant on Religious Matters, Ini-Ima Umoh, the Personal Assistant on Humanitarian Services, Mfon Israel, members of the church, community leaders, and other invited guests.
