Global pop icon Shakira is set to headline the post-race concert at the Formula 1 STC Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2026, scheduled for Sunday, April 19, at the iconic Jeddah Corniche Circuit.

The performance, part of her ongoing Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour, is expected to cap off a high-energy race weekend running from April 17 to 19, blending elite motorsport with global entertainment in one of the Middle East’s fastest-growing sporting destinations.

Organizers had earlier confirmed that Shakira would take center stage at the main concert arena immediately after the Grand Prix race on Sunday night.

The show is expected to draw thousands of Formula 1 fans and music lovers, continuing the event’s tradition of pairing racing spectacle with A-list musical performances.

Shakira’s appearance marks one of the most high-profile stops on her latest tour, which has already attracted global attention following the release of her recent album and return to large-scale touring.

Beyond Shakira’s headline performance, the Grand Prix weekend features a diverse lineup of international acts.

American rapper Pitbull and rising Afropop star Tyla are scheduled to perform on Saturday, April 18, while Norwegian DJ Kygo will also take the stage on Sunday.

The concerts are integrated into the broader Formula 1 fan experience, which includes practice sessions, qualifying rounds, and the main race, drawing visitors from across the globe.

The inclusion of international music superstars underscores Saudi Vision 2030, a long-term strategy aimed at diversifying Saudi Arabia’s economy and boosting its global profile through tourism, sports, and entertainment.

In recent years, the kingdom has invested heavily in hosting major global events from Formula 1 races to concerts and festivals positioning cities like Jeddah as key hubs for international cultural and sporting experiences.

Despite the earlier confirmations, conflicting reports have surfaced regarding the status of Shakira’s performance.

While major announcements in February 2026 and promotional materials from organizers listed her as the headline act, some recent claims on social media suggest the concert may have been altered or possibly canceled.

As of the time of filing this report, race organizers have not issued a definitive updated statement addressing these claims, leaving some uncertainty around the final concert lineup.

If it proceeds as planned, Shakira’s performance is expected to be one of the standout moments of the 2026 Formula 1 calendar, combining the global appeal of motorsport with the star power of one of the world’s most recognized artists.

Formula One continues to expand its entertainment footprint, with post-race concerts becoming a key feature of Grand Prix weekends worldwide turning race days into full-scale cultural events.
