The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has released the official timetable for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II orientation course, outlining key dates and guidelines for prospective corps members across the country.
In a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja, the scheme’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, confirmed that the three-week exercise will be conducted simultaneously in all the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
According to the schedule, registration and camp reception for prospective corps members will begin on April 22 and close at midnight on April 24.
The swearing-in ceremony is set for April 24, marking the official start of orientation activities nationwide.
The programme will run until May 12, after which participants will be deployed to their respective places of primary assignment for the mandatory one-year national service.

The NYSC advised all mobilised graduates to prioritise safety when travelling to orientation camps, strongly cautioning against night journeys.
Prospective corps members were encouraged to break their trips by 6:00 p.m. and lodge in safe locations before continuing the next day.
The orientation course remains a compulsory component of the NYSC scheme, designed to prepare Nigerian graduates for national service while fostering unity and integration.
Established in 1973, the programme deploys graduates to states outside their regions of origin to promote national cohesion.
