A former Secretary to Delta State Government, Chief Ovuozourie Macaulay, has presented NIN registration equipment to Owhelogbo Community in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, to ease their registration exercise.
He said that the donation was borne out of his desire to ensure that every indigene of Owhelogbo residing in the community registers for their NIN card and to complement the efforts of the federal government’s NIN registration campaign.
“I have observed the damage the inability to register for NIN has caused the people, when our people are not able to carry out any transaction or participate in profiting activities as a result of lack of NIN.

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) Coordinator for Isoko North, Enahoro Michael, commended Chief Macaulay, for the gesture, noting that communities and well to do individuals do not need to wait for the government at all times to provide for the people when they have the capacity to assist.
Also speaking, the President General of Owhelogbo Community, Morrison Illiesure, thanked the donor for the kind gesture to ensure that Owhelogbo people participate fully in the NIN registration going on nationwide.
He further called on the people of Owhelogbo Community to come out en masse to get their NIN.
